Dream in Action (Part 1 of 2)

Dream in Action (Part 1 of 2)

Failure has been a constant friend of mine, a friend because I’ve learned to appreciate and embrace it. My attempt at pursuing my dream and building something has brought along many valuable lessons that are leading me to Gods best through trial and error.

And here’s the thing, I’m not ready to quit! All the failures have only added to my strength and desire to dream bigger. Because His goodness always comes out of disappointments and unfulfilled dreams as we keep our sight on Jesus.

Throughout the years I’ve had a dream of building my own small business and it has led me to embark onto different business adventures that have ended in, you guessed it. Failure. But the lessons have been valuable to this dream of mine including self growth. And if I could be completely transparent here, they have led to failure because I didn’t fully commit to my own success. Giving it half my time and half my energy isn’t going to bring the results I so dearly dream and pray for without putting it into action.

Prayers require action, even in the stillness of hearing God.

Which brings me to take another leap of faith and embark on a new adventure…again! YES again. Because God isn’t done with me yet! And guess what? He isn’t done with you either! He never will be, till we meet Him face to face.

Never loose sight of those dreams especially through the ordinary, routine days. He’s aligning your dreams to His during those days. Trust Him. He will show up. He will give you the deepest desires of your heart.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

As you dig into your own dreams (because we all have them) I will follow up with a second post in the next few weeks to share the root that’s sprouting in my heart!

  1. Wow, reading this really encouraged me! As a mom of three little ones sometimes I lose focus and get side tracked that I forget Gods purpose and lose faith. I have to stop and realize that God has a purpose and not to count my failures but to count my blessings.
    Thank you.

    1. Thank you for your comment, itโ€™s such a beautiful warm gift to my heart!
And from mom to mom I absolutely understand those seasons, but He always draws us back to live according to His plans for us. As if being Momโ€™s isnโ€™t a grand plan already! Cheering you on to live your best life mom!

  2. What an inspiring message, and a great reminder to never lose sight of your dreams, regardless of how big or small they may be. Failures only help you learn and grow to be a stronger person! Thanks!

  3. Very encouraging! Even though I am a grandma now, I still remember how hard it could be, with little ones at home, to lose yourself in the day to day. Good for you and prayers for you!

  4. I heard a speaker last week talking about biting off more than we can chew so we can rely on God to come along side of us to complete the task. That was really refreshing instead of feeling overwhelmed itโ€™s a great perspective change that we can do big things with God! Great words of encouragement! Thanks for sharing your heart. ๐Ÿ’›

  5. This sounds so familiar to my journey! Funny thing is we also talked about finding our purpose at church and in our life group study today! Thank you for the inspiring post and I would love to stay in touch as we give our all towards our dreams and our purpose!
